Woodturning Videos Plus December Update
"Turning Elegant Bottle Stoppers" DVD Video is nearing completion: We're doing the last bit of post production on our new DVD video "Turning Elegant Bottle Stoppers" and it will be ready for purchase very soon. We had hoped to have it ready for a December release, but the audio mastering has not been finished. With the holidays and the mastering studio's workload, it will be January before it's ready for release. Lathe Talk subscribers will receive a special discount on Volume #4 purchases made in January. See next month's Lathe talk for details.
New Video Projects: We have begun shooting our next DVD video, Volume #5 and we've started storyboarding two more "special request" videos that will begin shooting in 2009. If you have any suggestions for videos that you would like to see, please let us know. We hope to release three new videos in 2009, so check back often for the latest updates.
New WVP.com Woodturning Forum Coming Soon: We are pleased to announce that we will be adding a new Woodturning Forum to our website in the very near future. We're currently assessing the different forum formats, as well as hosting solutions. This new forum will allow Lathe Talk subscribers and forum members to post woodturning related questions and receive answers from a large and diverse group of turners. There will also be space for you to post photos of your turned work, so everyone can enjoy your latest lathe creations.
This will be a moderated forum, so you won't have to worry about spam postings. With thousands of Lathe Talk subscribers located all over the world, this will be a great place for you to get woodturning advice and keep up on the latest tools and protocols. We think this will be a great new addition to our website! This is just one of the many new website features we have planned for 2009.
Link To Our Free Educational Libraries: If you belong to a woodturning club or association, please consider asking your Webmaster to add a link to our website's free educational libraries. There are currently 30 articles in the Main Library and 32 articles in the Tips Library, covering beginner to advanced topics.
Please help us to share this valuable learning resource with other turners in your woodturning clubs, associations, or on your own woodturning website links page.
